I'm actually excited about this post. Yeah! It is a haul, a mini haul. I recently picked a few things from Innisfree. Nykaa recently launched the brand online and it had some really exciting offers. I was very excited about the launch and grabbed some of their top sellers. I’m actually very excited to give them a try and will let you guys know my opinion on them.

I would have said "I'm excited" a million times by now, which shows how excited I'm :P. (Once again :D).

     So now Let’s get started with the haul.

One of their most spoken product. Nykaa had a great offer on these masks. It was 5+5 offer. Who can resist this??. I picked 10 sheet masks.  This mask is priced for Rs.100 each.

This mask is one of their best sellers and it claims to help with open pores and suits oily skin. The main reason i got my hands is for ts open pores claim. Will let you know my opinion about this product soon.  It is priced at Rs 1100 for 100 ml.

3. Innisfree nose strip:

This was a complementary product for Innisfree super clay mask, but you can purchased individually. Blackheads..errr...that too on nose..oh god. No matter what I do it never leaves me. Quite excited about this one. It is priced at Rs 250 for 6 strips.

4. Innisfree green tea facial mist:

Green tea is one of my favorite for it's known benefits, so when its in a cosmetic product, it will be definitely added to my cart. For now, I tried this mist a couple of time and i liked it. It gives skin a cooling effect and moisturizes it as well. It was priced at Rs 450 for 50 ml.

5. Innisfree Hand cream.

This hand cream was a complementary gift which was given on the launch day. But i didn't like the smell of it. But it works well. It moisturizes my hand without being greasy. It is priced at Rs 300 for 30 ml of product.

6. Innisfree foaming scrub

Formulated to remove the stubborn blackheads and helps in cleaning the pores. It is a foaming scrub which has be used on the affected areas. I used it once and it was “OK”ish. Maybe i can give a detailed review after a few usages.

      This review is about one of my favorite lipstick. This was my first liquid lipstick in my collection and ever since, it has been my obsession and one of my go to shade from then. I don’t know whether I would be able to describe the greatness of this lipstick in a post, but I would try :P . Colorbar kissproof lip stain has 8 different shades and this review is about the shade “HAUTE LATTE(007)”.

Packaging:

       Lipstick comes in a silver carton box, usual Colorbar packaging. The lipstick tube is of hard plastic and has silver and transparent strips on the tube. The transparent strip acts as see through. The tube has a silver cap with a sturdy wand. The carton box carries all the information (price, shade name, expiry date, price,etc). The name of the shade is at the bottom of the tube as well.

Price:

       The lipstick is priced at Rs. 900 for 6.5 ml of product.

My experience:

       Getting a neutral go to shade was always hard for me. This shade has changed everything ever since. It goes with every look you wear, be it party, office, casual looks,etc.  the applicator is of a tear drop shape and has a small hole in the center, which removes the excess lipstick on the lips on application. The applicator tip is pointed which helps in defining the lips. 

     The lipstick sets into matte in 10-15 seconds and stays comfortable on lips for long time. For around 2-3 hours it stays comfortable and non-drying. After that, it requires a lip balm. The lipstick doesn’t sustain a meal. It starts to fade away from the center. All matte lipsticks are good to be applied after exfoliation and tends to dry after some time.  

      This particular shade looks very beautiful on all skin tone and it looks different on everyone due to our natural lip pigmentation.    

      Overall, this shade is quite amazing and its definitely a go to shade and I would highly recommend this shade to everyone.

        This review is about one of my favorite product which has been in my skin care routine for years now. I generally go picking for products randomly be it makeup or skin care because I always liked experimenting with new things and nothing can make me more happy than buying cosmetics J, not only for me but for many girls!. My skin is prone to acne, blackheads and skin related issues, which I generally mention in all my posts. I experiment many products to figure out which suits me the best. I have tried almost all the scrubs which claim to remove the hardest of the hardest blackhead but nothing worked on my skin, sadly! I accidently encountered this product and wanted to try it.

St.Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

My experience:

    Removing those layers of dead cells is very important in our skin care routine and for oily skin it's really important to unclog those pores by exfoliating every 2 alternative days(depends on skin's requirement). There are basically three exfoliation factor of scrubs as far as I know – mild, moderate and deep. This scrub is a deep exfoliation scrub.

  This product is quite thick creamy consistency and a small coin size amount is required for pulling those bad guys out of your skin and the product smells amazinggggg!!!. The product is said to have natural exfoliants and you could feel the hard walnut shells granule which are a bit big when compared to the other usual apricot or walnut scrubs.

    I scrub my face 2 to 3 times a week by massaging it with little pressure. After every usage, I could feel the skin becoming smooth and blackhead free, even though its not 100% blackhead free but it tends to remove the blackhead to a greater extent and gives a smooth skin. Skin tends to feel little sensitive due to its deep exfoliation. When I used the scrub for more than 2-3 times or over scrubbed at times, my skin becomes dry and flaky. The scrub contains hard granules which gives the skin a deep exfoliation, so over usage of this scrub is not advisable. But it didn’t break me out at any point, a big yayyy for that.

      I always had a great difficulty in finding out a moisturizer that would suit oily/combination (my skin tends to change from oily to combination depending on the seasons) skin. Even if the product mentions all skin type, I always ended up with oily sweaty sticky face than getting it moisturized. I ended up buying this moisturizer for the range name “GREEN TEA”. Because green tea is best known for its anti-oxidant properties which helps skin to stay away from black heads, acne, etc.

Did this moisturizer really got on to my daily routine vanity, scroll down to know about it.

What do I think about plum green tea moisturizer:

     When I found the word mattifying I expected the product to have a gel consistency. But it’s kind of gel with more lotion in it. It is neither runny nor thick. This product has a mild refreshing scent, which fades away after few minutes. Two pumps of this product is sufficient for a use and I gently warm up the product in between my palm and massage it on to my skin and the product gets absorbed into the skin like a magic leaving behind matte oil-free skin. I feel like it forms a shield and locks up the moist into skin.

PLUM GREEN TEA MOISTURIZER

    I didn’t experience any oiliness for 2 to 3 hours after applying the moisturizer. But it depends on the climate as well. The skin feels really soft and smooth and stays hydrated, which I wanted for years and I’m really happy on discovering this product.

    I feel that if your dry skin and want to try out this range, it would dry out your skin more.

PROS:

CONS:

   Overall I would say, this product is a must in your routine if you have oily skin. I would suggest trying out the entire range from this brand for added benefits (totally optional).

         I always wonder why is that all skin related problems attack me L(Huge sigh)!!. Yeah I have dandruff and huge hair fall. I did a big research on dandruff, how to reduce it, it's DIYs and products. I stay in hostel, so doing DIYs every time is not possible. And I came across this product and using it for a while now.

My experience:

       I have been using this product as per the direction for past 2 months. This oil is a dark black brown colour liquid with a strong herbal smell.

      It is given in the direction that the oil can be washed after 30 minutes but I keep it overnight and wash it the next day. I would say this product didn’t impress me initially to the level I expected it to be, due to its claims and price. Yeah! It did reduce my hair fall a bit but for my dandruff I couldn’t find a big difference. After a regular usage of 4 weeks, I could see the results.

      The oil is said to conditions my hair after every wash. I could see the difference in my hair texture when I shampoo using this oil and the other usual oils. But the smell of the oil, lingers to the hairs even after washing it and it doesn’t fade for a day or two.

Pros:

Cons:

      Ayurveda products tend to show results after long and regular usage, but results will be seen gradually. I would recommend It if you aren’t under budget and got totally fed up using every other product that are  labelled as  “anti-dandruff”.

Recently, All brands has started launch its own version of contouring ranges/kits and now Maybelline has brought its contouring range named “V-FACE” to India. Currently, this range has a contour stick, a powder and a blush. Here I have shared my opinion about the Maybelline V-face duo contour stick.

Packaging:

The contour stick comes in a black pen tube style packaging with two endings and has a black cap with a see through glass at the top. The stick has silver coloured name printed on it and it is colour band with a light baby pink colour on the highlighter side and a darker colour band on the contour side.

I liked the packaging because it’s very convenient to use and easy to carry.

Shade:

It comes in two shades light-medium and medium-dark.

Price:

This product is priced at Rs 650.

My experience:

        I was very excited when Maybelline launched this range. But this product was very disappointing because this contour shade is only a shade or two darker than my actual skin tone (NC 42-43), so it blends into skin without showing up. I bought the stick in the shade medium-dark. But the product is very creamy and super blend-able (without using a brush, even!) so it becomes one of those good products for beginners. The product has got good pigmentation. You get the actual colour in just two swipes. The contour shade can be slightly darkened up with a contour powder.

        The highlighting shade gets the credit which the contour shade has lost. The shade is perfect for Indian skin tone and it gives a subtle glow to skin and blends easily. The highlighting shade has very good pigmentation and gives a nice highlight in a swipe. It can be suitable for every day usage if you prefer adding a hint of that extra glow to your skin on daily basic.

This product is meant for people who are in fairer side. If medium skin tone people prefer light contouring, then you can give it a try by darkening it up with a contour powder. But this product gives light contouring and it’s not an option for people who like deep contouring.

Pros:

Travel friendly

Easy to use packaging.

Pigmented.

Easily available.

Cons:

Only two shades available.

Won’t suit people with medium-dark skin tone.

I would rate this product 3.5/5.

Recommended to people with fair skin tone.

Today my review is about kiehl’s clearly corrective dark spot solution which I have been using for quite a long time and thought I could share my opinion about this product. I had a very bad acne-mark prone skin, which has been cleared out after few chemical peels and medications but due to hormonal changes, I wasn’t completely cleared out from acne and its stubborn marks. When I was searching for few products to try on my acne-marks prone skin, I came across this product and thought could give it a try.

Claims:

Dark spot corrector formulated to have visible impact on dark spots caused by age, UV exposure or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This clear and corrective formula visibly diminishes the number and intensity of dark spots and discoloration and includes an ingredient active that prevents the formation of spots on skin’s surface and penetrates deep into the skin’s surface deeply and rapidly corrects the appearance of dark spots and evens skin tone.

Price:

This product is priced at Rs 4250 for 30 ml product.

I was instructed by the kielh’s representative, to use it both in the morning and evening after cleansing and toning the face. And follow up with a moisturiser. She advised me to use a sunscreen with SPF 50 every day in the morning without fail.

My thoughts on kielh’s :

          The serum is a colourless and odourless liquid and comes in a glass bottle with a dropper lid. The glass bottle is fragile and needs to be handled carefully.

          After cleansing and toning, I use two drops of the solution and warm it up between my fingers and pat it on my entire face. It gets absorbed quickly and don’t give any greasy feel on the skin. Once the solution is absorbed, I use my regular moisturiser. After moisturising, we can follow up with our regular makeup.

          Initially for about 15 days, I didn’t see any changes in my spots but my overall skin tone was improved a little. After a month, I could see difference in my spots,  it reduced the redness of my new acne marks. This solution didn’t cause any breakout. After about 45 days, it slowly worked on my old marks and faded a bit, but didn’t make a drastic changes as such.

          As it claims, it works on the upper layer of the skins and treats your new marks and fades old scars a bit on regular usage. It doesn’t bring miraculous change to the skin in a week or so, it takes time and the time varies for every individual depending on their skin. This product does work on regular usage but takes a lot of time to show the results.

Pros:

•  Fades the scars.
• Odourless
• Gets absorbed easily.
• 2-3 drops is sufficient for a use. 30 ml goes too long way.

Cons:

• Pricey.
• Not travel friendly packaging.
•  Takes much time for visible result.

I would rate 4.3/5.

Definite recommend to people who suffer from those baby acne marks and to even out those pigmentations, but only, if you have patience.

          Today it’s gonna be a review again on one of the most raving product, COLOURPOP ULTRA MATTE LIPSTICKS. Liquid lipsticks are going crazy in the market these days and even if these lipsticks are not found in Indian drugstore still it remains to be raving product. I bought these through one of my friend in US but now these are available through many instagram stores(I will add the links of the instagram stores through which you can access these).

These are available in 33 different shades in total including the new launches but I currently have 5 of them. 

Shades: Avenue, Tulle, Bumble, Beeper, Lumiere 2.

Packaging:

          The lipstick comes in a plastic transparent tube with a metallic cap packaging. The packaging looks as that of a high end ones. The lipstick tube comes with the outer cardboard box. It comes with a doe foot applicator which works really well for those detailing and thin lips beauties. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube.

Price: $6 (in colourpop website) and price depends on each seller in insta stores.

Overview of the product and my experience:

          I love matte lipsticks and if they are liquid lipsticks, GRAB THEM BABY!!..yyaasss!!. They are to die for. You apply the coloured liquid and they set into matte, giving you that slayed lips which last for really long. But yeah! Matte lipsticks are drying. And these lipsticks are super drying. They feel slightly powdery after drying. Not a concern though!

           I highly recommend you guys to exfoliate and moisturize your lips properly before applying these lipstick as they do not have even a tiny amount of moisturizer in them. Using a lip primer under these lipstick is much better, if you can’t handle that dry lips.

          These lipstick have watery texture and when applied on lips they set into matte in few seconds and give the intense colour in one swipe. It is highly pigmented and opaque. Remember, DON’T PURSE YOUR LIP WHEN IT'S WET! It gives you that flaked and crumbled lips which is not appealing and it stays light weight on lips.
            Always try filling the lips in single stroke, as it would give a smooth finish than layering it up.

          This lipstick is very long lasting. It is crazily long lasting and doesn’t move from it’s place even after an oily greasy meal. It lasted for around 8 to 9 hours without food and for good 6 to 7 hours after food and starts fading from the center. Touch-up!!!!.
       

          This lipstick is hard to remove. So don’t be in an hurry or be harsh on your lips.

Shade description: colourpop has a huge colour variant but not all suits Indian skin tones, as each shade have different undertones. I have given a small description of the shades, which would help you guys pick your shades.

Avenue: Said to be a "Deep yellow red" by colourpop. This fabulous colour looks very unique and brings the chic inside you. This shade would look amazing on all skin tone. It is my favorite shade out of all.

Bumble: "A Dusky warm terracotta" shade which looks like a brownish red with little pink in it, would look amazing on fair to medium skin tone. May wash out a little on deep dusky skin. 

Tulle: "Dusky mauve burgundy" shade suits all skin type and the shade might look little deeper on dark complexion. 

Beeper: "Warm mid-toned taupe" shade, a perfect pair for a smokey eye. best nude for medium skin tone and might wash out dark complexion beauties.

Lumiëre 2: "Dusky mauve pink" shade, it has been said by colourpop that it will suit all the skin tone, but i personally didn't like the shade. it looks grey on lips and definitely a big no for medium and darker skin tone beauties. This may suits fairer skin tone beauties, the most.

          I would say this product is amazing for the money we pay and these lipsticks are fantastic when compared with high end lipsticks. Definitely give a try

           Ever since liquid lipsticks became my obsession (don’t know from when! :D), I have been trying out lipsticks from various brands and found this lipstick from the brand called DIANA OF LONDON. I have been using this lipstick for quite a long time now (actually a very long time) and though would share my opinion about these babies with you guys. These come in 40 different shades. I bought 2 shades from 17(Raspberry) & 18(Hazelnut).

Packaging:

It comes in a usual plastic packaging with a metal screw blue cap and has a silver color neck with the brand name embossed on it. The wand has the doe foot applicator which gives a smooth application of the product. The applicator narrows down on the tip which helps in defining the outline of lips and also easy for people with thin lips. The shade name and number of the lipstick is mentioned at the bottom of the packaging.

Price:

This product is priced for Rs.699 for 8 ml of product.

Claims:

This product doesn’t have any detailed claims as such but says its long lasting, non-transfer, waterproof and light-weight.

My experience:

To start of with, Matte lipsticks are suppose to give you that driest lips ever. If you have the same thought in your mind, just stay with me, because this lipstick breaks that myth (I would call). This didn’t dry out my lips at all and this stays on lips for promising 6 hours even after having food. It eventually means that it stays for quite a long time.

            The shade 17(Raspberry) is a Mauve-brown shade and it’s a perfect MLBB shade for me and the shade 18(Hazelnut) is a warm brown colour.

            Talking about the texture, I feel it to be a cream or mousse kind of texture, not that liquid or runny texture of liquid lipsticks. It just glides on the lips very smoothly and sets in to matte very quick, maybe in 20-25 seconds. It feels very light on the lips, as I have said I felt it to b a mousse textured, it does stay as such. And this hugs your lips like a baby and doesn’t come off as I mentioned it before. 

About the other claim, water-proof, yeah, it doesn’t wear off with water or sweat or moist or whatsoever. Perfect for office and super perfect for summers. And this means its bit hard to remove(#MakeupRemoverTheRescuer). But all the claims have been met. Yaayyy for that.

          I recently attended a makeup workup conducted by one of the famous bridal makeup artist and even she swears about the long lasting power and she said she uses these lipsticks on her brides by mixed it up with other shades.

Even though I have the very dry lip (I would say!!), this didn’t dry out my lips for a good time and slightly dries out after 4 to 5 hours, which I won’t complain. But I would always suggest wearing a matte lipstick after exfoliating and moisturizing it well, to enjoy your long lasting, non-drying matte lipstick effect. 

Pros:

• Amazingly long-lasting
• Doesn’t dry out lips like other matte lipsticks.
• Waterproof
• Doesn’t transfer.
• Light weight
• Super comfortable
• Pigmented
• Sets into matte quickly

•  Smells little weird, but the smell vanishes in less than a minute.
•  Contains parabens, but I would say not a con because almost every product has got parabens as they are used for preservation of the product.

I would rate this product 4.75/5.

And I would highly recommend this lipstick and will definitely repurchase these shades and try out other shades as well.
